Welcome to the Invisible Disabilities Advocacy Toolbox

There are many times when people who have invisible disabilities (IDs) may not know where to turn for help. Finding support can also be challenging for caregivers of individuals with invisible disabilities. This site serves as a toolkit designed to provide resources and information about invisible disabilities. The information provided is for the greater Berks and Leigh County areas of Pennsylvania. National and regional resources are also offered to supplement local support.

Our Goal

Invisible disabilities are more common than many people think. Even identifying accurate statistics around the prevalence of IDs is challenging because of the variety of types of IDs. In fact, the average eye would not be able to pick out if someone is experiencing the effects of one of the many invisible disabilities. This toolbox provides pages describing: the name of the disability, disability description, common population the ID effects, signs of the ID, and resources for individuals with IDs and/or their parents/ caregivers.
